Daniel A. VarroneyDaniel A. Varroney brings over a decade of executive experience in trade association leadership and management to his role as Acting President & CEO of TechAmerica. Prior to his appointment, Dan built a strong reputation for growing revenue, membership, and improving retention and member participation in several organizations.

For over twenty years, Dan worked for the National Association of Manufacturers where he generated national grassroots support for the legislative and regulatory agenda, winning multiple legislative initiatives.  Dan’s other accomplishments included driving net revenue growth up by over 20 percent and retaining over 90 percent of members.

After leaving the National Association of Manufacturers, Varroney served as President and CEO of the Association for Corporate Growth. There, Dan would act as chief spokesperson improving the association’s market relevance through branded media studies appearing on major media outlets such as CNBC.  He also restructured the organization, expanding the organization into Europe to increase international reach. During that same time, Dan also doubled the annual conference attendance and increased sponsorship and profits by 100 percent.

Most recently Varroney served as President and Chief Operating Officer for American Solutions for Winning the Future. While serving as President and CEO, Dan was responsible for leading policy, communications, advocacy and operations.  In this role, he also publically established himself as an industry expert appearing on Fox News and Fox Business as well as talk radio around the country and numerous Op-Ed articles appearing in the Chicago Tribune, Forbes Magazine, Inc and AOL.com.

Additionally, Dan honed his management and leadership skills as a council member on the Village Council of Palatine, IL for more than two decades. There he oversaw an increase in services to citizens through the use of technology, ensured that property taxes were decreased, guided the community to twenty-one consecutive balanced budgets and a AA+ bond rating.

Dan is a graduate of the Catholic University of America. In September 2006, he was a “Distinguished Guest Professor”, at the Marymount University School of Business.
Dan lives with his wife Jeanine in Arlington, VA.  The Varroneys have three grown children and one grandson.
